WearAble Wardrobes with Dr Gina Kingston

Hi! I’m Gina Kingston and I’m a Canberra-based personal stylist and colour consultant who is passionate about creating WearAble Wardrobes.

I know what it’s like to have a wardrobe full of clothes that are comfortable and frumpy or stylish and painful. Feeling like you have to choose between looking good and feeling good.

My family and I have been there, and that’s why I want to help you. I want you to have a WearAble Wardrobe:

  • Where you wear everything in your wardrobe;

  • Where you can easily create outfits you love;

  • That suits your lifestyle, energy levels and health needs;

  • Where it is easy to see what’s clean;

  • Where you have lots of options that make you look and feel your best.

I believe that everyone deserves to have a wardrobe full of clothes that make them look good and feel good.

Exploring options for a Wearable Wardrobe

How to Create WearAble Wardrobe

Doing the following 3 steps in order is the recommended way to create a WearAble Wardrobe. However, if you only only want to do one, I recommend going for the wardrobe edit.

Step 1: Colour Analysis

Discover your best colours and how to combine them. Use these colours in your wardrobe to make it easier to reuse clothes in different outfits.

Step 2: Wardrobe Edit

Edit the clothes in your wardrobe so you are only left with those that are wearable (maybe with alterations) and ideas for how to combine them.

Step 3: Shopping Session

Fill your wardrobe gaps with wearable clothes that go with the rest of your wardrobe. Discover new shops and styles of regular or adaptive clothing.

 Inclusion Policy

At WearAble Wardrobes we value inclusion and are proud to include men, women, cis and trans people and people with health issues and disabilities amongst our clients.

Senior and Disability Services

“There is no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as more." - Robert M. Hensel

We have developed special techniques to ensure that people with health and mobility issues are able to have wardrobe edits and shopping sessions without having to try on clothes. We can also adjust the draping process for our colour analysis to accommodate personal aids.

Most of our services come with options to accommodate any special needs. If you don’t see what you are after, contact Gina to see what can be arranged.

If you are on an NDIS or Aged Care Plan you may be eligible to have your consultation and any adaptive clothes that you purchase covered under your plan.

Before working with Gina I felt my wardrobe lacking in clothes that looked professional. However, as I am in the process of losing weight I did not want to spend a lot of money… I now know how to look professional without feeling uncomfortable and it is great to feel I am looking good. - Anne
